The Lavendar Festival

As some of you know, I LOVE Lavendar! So two weeks ago we (My mom, my sister, Rainy, Stellar and I) went to the Lakeside Lavendar festival in Nampa. We got to sample Lavendar Lemonade and Lavendar cookies. We got to cut our own bunches of Lavendar and we even tried Lavendar flavored snowcones! They were wonderful! I have been to lavendar festivals before, but this was my first experience trying a Lavendar flavored snowcone. Anyone who hasn't been to the festival should go, it is a lot of fun! They have them all over. I went to one last year in Mona Utah. That one was a lot bigger and even had a Lavendar fairy. But if you are going to go, make sure you like lavendar, otherwise it's a waste of time.:)
Mommy-Daughter Date
I was feeling a lot a frustration with Little Miss Rainy, I was thinking she needed to have some Mommy time, so my mom suggested I take Rainy on a Mommy-daughter date. So grandma got to watch Stellar and Rainy and I went out( Daddy went to a Movie with "the guys.") So Rainy and I went to Fire and Ice ceramic studio to paint. It was a lot of fun! We picked out a cute little piggy bank. It started out as a nice mixture of pastel colors, and then she got a hold of the black and so half of it is black. Not how I would have painted it, but I just kept in mind that it was her creation and she's two, what should I expect. Afterwards we went and met up with grandma and Stellar at Applebees to have dinner. Matt and Logan, Mccoy and Madden met us there too. And since Mccoy is Rainy's "favorite boy" she had a great time! They wrestled in the booth most of the time, it was pretty entertaining! It was a really fun night! I think we will do Mommy- daughter dates more often. We will have pictures of the pig soon. It is still being finished.

Random Pics
I love to take pictures of my kids sleeping, they are just so peaceful and cute! So here is a picture of Rainy sleeping in a odd position on our new chair. And I thought I'd add a picture of Stellar so everyone can see how he is growing.

Josh goes to Milwaukee and Chicago!

Josh went to his annual meeting for Northwestern Mutual at their headquarters in Milwaukee. He flew into Chicago on Sunday and then took a train to Milwaukee. He spent a few days in Milwaukee going to meetings and learning how to do better at his job. I think he had fun, but we sure missed him! Rainy was thrilled to see him too!She wrapped her arms around him as tight as she could at the airport. It was cute!On his way home, he got to take a quick tour of Chicago with my cousin Jessica. Hopefully we can get a longer tour as a family some time. We would like to go as a family next year for vacation. But Thanks Jess for taking Josh around!Josh came home to the whole house being rearranged, it was good surprise. It was something he had wanted to get done for a long time.It has been fun to have things changed up a bit. Thanks to my family and Brandon Bake for helping me accompish our goal.
And some more pics of Rainy....

What a fun post! The lavendar festival looks so fun! I had no idea you could make all those things with lavendar!
The mommy/daughter date at fire n' ice sounds like a lot of fun! How much did it cost to go? We want to start doing dates with our kids more often. I know one family that did daddy doughnut dates at the park on Saturday mornings.
I am so glad that you are enjoying having your family living close now! Your rearranged front room looks fabulous! Have a great day!
Looks like you have been having fun!
No problem about taking Josh around. Sorry we didn't have more time. It was kinda fast and furious.
